Astronomy brings the wonders of the universe to people everywhere. The Night Sky Network program is dedicated to helping astronomy clubs in their outreach efforts in communities across the USA. Here we've compiled some of our activity videos, tips for club members, and videos that can help your understanding of the night sky, as well as recordings of our monthly webinars with NASA astronomers.
The Night Sky Network is sponsored and supported by NASA/JPL and the Astronomical Society of the Pacific.

Excellent overview! Thank you!
Amazing video that I love ! Thank you for sharing . Happy Sunday to you !
Thanks Dr Breysee, in one hour you covered so much material! Easy to follow, very didactic, great images, great content, I wish I had your skills when I was a faculty and be capable of condensing so much material and take by the hand the audience into a 13.8 billion year journey in one hour. Filled with technical explanations made easy!
explained very well
Woohoo! I'm a low brass player too! Bass trombonist here.
I want to know where the "hot plasma cloud" came from. Where did the protons and electrons and all the xrays etc. come from in the first place?! These questions keep me up at night. Good presentation. I learned a few things I didn't know before.
Holaa from Peru🎉😊
This was a really wonderful presentation. Dr. Breysse not only covered the formation of the universe - or rather what is known about its formation - in terms that even non-cosmologists can understand, but also talked about his work on something I had heard nothing about before: using radio telescopes to look for radio waves from carbon monoxide molecules in the gas clouds of star-forming areas of the distant universe, in order to map out a whole important region that hasn't been mapped before, the 'missing' 2 billion years in the history of the universe when the first stars and galaxies formed. The JWST can look back into that time period, but not with a large enough field to be able to show the larger structures of the universe back then. This was really amazing to hear about. Some of these findings might eventually help solve a lot of unknowns, even things like the nature of dark matter and dark energy, on top of understanding more about how those first stars and galaxies formed. Loved the grand finale / ending slide! Thank you Dr. Breysse and Night Sky Network.
It’s 3:53 am on a Monday morning and for some reason I’m watching this 🤦♂️
Did India's ISRO really land a rover on the Moon ?
Yes.
@@loopbraider Show proof please !
😉😀
Simplest and most amazing explanation ever to the science of lenses and mirrors
Love the sweater and shroom coordination <3!!!
Why is Latin tribe special. Seems like the Sun is special to all of us.
Love that pin.
One misconception I notice is people confusing astronomy and astrology. It happens a lot when I have conversations with others, and I wonder if it has an effect on the way people perceive the field of astronomy on a whole.
Hi Bob, Great Webinar ---- from Sethanne
I came here from a Randall Carlson Podcast where he quotes papers on this topic. I'd rather get scholarly information direct from the source: people who actually study the phenomenon at hand. Carlson has an increasingly large following, but I feel he has recently strayed somewhat from a strict quest for non-sensational facts in favor of position-based speculation. Perhaps one of you experts might offer to enter in to a colliquy on one of his upcoming talks to help keep his viewers focused on the factual.
Tq so much madam ...Finally I got to know reason behind it..
If you look in the back of a spoon, your reflection might look like Pete Townsend. 🙂
Who believes this TOSH? 🤣

Awesome video ! I love it so much . Thank you for sharing it with pleasure . How many galaxies are there in the universe ? Please let me know , thank you . Happy Friday to you !
Scientists put the number of galaxies in the universe at 100 to 200 billion, but it could be many more.
Awesome video ! I love it so much . Thank you for sharing it with pleasure . Happy Friday to you !
Thank you soOOOO much, I just need it to my science class

Thanks for I need this presentation for the whole school
Such an interesting talk! I am looking forward to what Artemis explorations will show us.
What a great talk! Very excited to see sample composition!
Fantastic talk, thanks Eric

Excellent..thanks Eric
Wonderful webinar! Thank You!
Thank you so much Night Sky Network and Dr. Eric Huff! Great talk, I thought Dr. Huff explained Euclid's mission and the background concepts so clearly and kindly in view of what non-cosmologists like me might be able to take in. It's amazing and awe-inspiring to me that cosmologists, physicists et al - "the community" he referred to - are zeroing in on fundamental aspects of the universe, like dark matter and dark energy, that are impossible for human beings to see or feel. And also that they are doing this through working together from all different angles to try to figure out what the 'elephant' is without being able to see it. Truly exciting. We are here in a tiny nano-second of the lifetime of the universe trying to glimpse its beginning and ultimate fate. Woah!

We sponsored a Public Event last year with the Observe the Moon Night at Copernicus Club, Naucalpan, outside Mexico City. I was awesome!
Spectacular presentation

Hello, from Buenos Aires Argentina❤
re 20:41 You'll get better examples & solutions as you practice these webinars. This sh/could have been: "... - I can show you how to find this first one."
Yes, that's right kids the planets are so far away that they don't even exist. But we still need your parents' tax dollars to fund a "space mission" that is built upon galactic lie!
Thank you for this presentation, both Dr. Cynthia and Night Sky Network!
Great presentation Cynthia, thanks! Would it be possible to share the slides?
Don't they have male astronomers any more? Oh, wait: just more U.S. Government "soft" diversity propaganda.
Thank you for the update! Good that you got permission from A. C. Clark to land on Europa in the future 🙂
